Slovakia's trade deficit widened in July as export growth slowed in the Eastern European nation set to adopt the euro next year.
The gap totaled 4.2 billion koruna ($194 million), compared with a revised 765 million-koruna deficit in the previous month and a 1.6 billion-koruna deficit in July 2007, the Bratislava- based Slovak Statistical Office said today. The figure compares with the median estimate of seven economists for an 800 million- koruna surplus.
